2013 La Conner Quilt & Fiber Arts Festival
The 2013 Quilt & Fiber Art Festival,
October 4 – 6 featured an International
Show of Juried & Judged quilts, fiber art, and wearable art in Maple Hall
and the La Conner Civic Garden Club, both locations within a half-block of the
Museum. The work comes from seven countries, including the U.S., Canada,
Taiwan, Japan, The Netherlands, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The city-wide Festival also included a Quilt
Walk, Specialty Vendors, and a Silent Auction.

Best of the Festival is an exhibit of the top award-winning
quilts that are judged to be the best of our 2013 Quilt & Fiber Arts
Festival.
In addition to Best of Show, we will have the top entries
in Traditional & Original Interpreted Bed and Wall Quits, Original Design
Wall Quilts (Realistic Pictorial, Abstract Pictorial, & Nonrepresentational
styles); Original Wearable Art – both Quilted & Non-Quilted; and Fiber Art.
We will also have all the special Award of Excellence
pieces on display, including Hand Quilting, Machine Quilting, Applique, Pieced,
Recycled/Reused Materials, Embellishment, Fiber Art-Innovative, and Judge’s
Choices. Also, the crowd-pleasing People’s Choice Award winner will be on
display.
